Glad you held out for the RT-AX89X – it is a beast of a router, especially as you say, it it Tri-Band, has both SFP+ and 10GBase-T and 8 LAN ports and uses Qualcomm IPQ8074 2.2 GHz ( 4 cores ) processors which I have a preference for over Broadcom.
Only negatives (my view) is that over the years, ASUS I have noticed do struggle with non-Broadcom based chips, (Qualcomm – Marwell – Realtek) but maybe different for the RT-AX89X and no ASUSWRT-Merlin alternative firmware
