Hi, been viewing/following this forum for ages. This unit seems ok for what I use it for, nothing fancy but loads of WiFi devices. I have the latest firmware but now after 33 days up time the memory is almost 87%, it started at 25/30% when updated to latest firmware. Has anyone noticed this as I thought ASUS had finally fixed the memory leak?
Another forum member noticed that around high 80’s Percentage, they lost wifi access. but generally Mem usage is much better than it was, ASUS both DSL and RT models use lots of Mem and it is a Feature of the ASUSWRT firmware ;-)
I understand from ASUS that Mem usage will increase over time as logs are stored upon the Router (WEB History – DSL LOG) etc, these take up space, but when router hits 90% mem usage, the router being Linux, should start managed the mem usage better (so I am told)
You will have to let us know what happens when/if yours reaches 95% ?
