*sigh* I’m back – unfortunately the router crashing issue has reared its ugly head as before when I used to use upgraded firmwares.

Just to be 100% clear on what happens I find after a random length time (weeks, sometimes even days) that the router ‘locks-up’ and I get an internet connectivity warning on all connected devices and none of them (even a wired PC) can get to router.asus.com to check the admin page.

I reboot the router and all is well.

Ironically, after my previous post, everything appeared to be OK and I had stable operation for approximately 3 weeks.

Then (and I think this is very coincidental), I used the parental control feature to limit hours of operation on a couple of devices and literally the morning after I did this, the issue occurred.

I rebooted the router, turned off the feature and rebooted again.

This time, I got 3 days use out of the router before it crashed again today.

Really appreciate any further suggestions – seems I’m stuck between a decision to either have a clicking router or one that crashes at random times!
