You have been busy, Cake QoS is single threaded, Core type and MHz is what is important.

DSL-AX82U has a 1.5 GHz ( 3 cores ) and RT-AX86U has 1.8 GHz ( 4 cores ) so cake will run better with RT-AX86U.

Once you start getting into the realms of 500 Mbps, CAKE QoS does not really matter any more and sometimes (Cake QoS disables Hardware acceleration) QoS is best left turned off, or at least simplified.
