Thanks for taking the time to find out. I’m surprised they are not moving towards having a sim card slot you can simply put a sim card into and have that as a failover as opposed to tethering as what if your away when it goes down?
Nice idea, I am sure they would prefer the Dual Ethernet WAN port option so you can plug in an external ethernet modem like the Netgear LM1200 you mentioned in an earlier post.
DAUL WAN failover in a consumer grade router is advanced stuff, but does seem like USB dongles for ASUS routers are at best a missed opportunity and very hit or miss.
