So think I’ve resolved it….. Would appear I actually didn’t need to do anything…. It looks to simply be that my NIC adapter I’m using has been used in MECM and it wont allow it to be re-used.  I have to mark it as exempt so that it wont “discover” it and then I can keep using it.

Only issue is, the existing machine I’d have to delete as it knows it exists atm.

So I’ve managed to find an adapter for the inbuilt NIC on the laptop I have (doesn’t have a normal rj45 port) so I’ve marked that as exempt so I can practice building it as needed until I get a working image.

Now to work on the drivers etc finally…. this is the problem with doing stuff then leaving it for a while and coming back t it… I thought it was all working but there has been few MECM updates since and windows update so you never know if its broke anything…
