I have always taken my car to the dealer and let them replace as needed. My last car had 5 years and never changed the brakes, they still had approx. 20k miles left on them when I sold it and i’d done about 38k miles in it at that point so I was thoroughly impressed they latest that long and still had life in them.
I tend to always service cars at the dealership to keep the full service history to help when selling plus any issues you got some come back as dealer has done all the work.
Only time I take the car elsewhere is when I need to have tyres checked/replaced.
Car I have atm – the brakes wont last as long as previous car, average life expectancy is 30k tops and tbh I suspect they will need doing earlier as atm lots of city driving etc so using them more than say motorway driving.
