Thanks, yeah i usually start looking around 30days prior as I believe that’s the earlies I can do it to be able to choose the same renewal date. That’s why i finally jumped insurance as my one at the time who I’d been with for ages just kept putting up the prices so every year I’d have to phone them tell them the cheaper quote and then they would look into it and usually come in closer to the price but still a bit higher as they know most people don’t want to be bothered swapping around for say ÂŁ10-ÂŁ20 etc but this time they were way off and as said I’d saved 50% on the price, I think even they were a bit shocked as to how far out they were but was nothing they could do.
I renewed this year with them again as the price wasn’t much cheaper elsewhere so was happy to remain knowing they haven’t hiked my price for the sake of it and hoping i just renew. Price was around the same as other places but seeing how its jumped 40% this year, I’m dreading next year as I’d probably then be in the 700+ bracket….
