Not treating myself, no.Β I have a 15 so no need for the SE.Β However, my mum has a iPhone SE, bought in 2022 so its approx. 3 years old now so considering maybe purchasing it as a replacement as not sure when the SE 2022 will be dropped and it would also mean phone is on a USB-C port like other devices so means we can ditch the lightening cables.Β Mum isn’t a big phone user, only uses it to call and just about send a text, doesn’t browser the web, plays a card game on the phone and may need a book on it if doesn’t have iPad but that’s about it. So in comparison to many phones, most of the features are not used tbh, more of a basic user.Β So just deciding if its worthΒ the cost to replace it or not at this point.Β On one hand be good to be able to have just lightening cables then we can use any cable rather than checking we have right cable for right device, on other hand, it may be 2 or 3 years before they stop the 2022 SE support so might not be worth it but on other hand, might get a bit more back by selling it/trading it in now… decisions decisions.
On a separate note, I’m hoping to get the new SE for my work phone in few months, I’m still managing just about with a iPhone 7, it has issues charging some times and battery does drain quickly now i.e. every day it’s down to 20% and I only really use it for 2FA to login to work stuff as needed so not constantly using it etc but I’ve been living with it for a while now and been holding out for a lightening version as no way they will pay for a iPhone 15/16 etc and tbh I don’t really need it tbh so I’ve been holing out for the USB-C port SE to come.
