@mrk26 You are having fun, let us know how you applied cap (cmds) and do please keep us all updated
Well is a bit of fun with positive results at the end :D
First cap applied to 50 Mb/s with command: bcm_xdslctl configure –maxDataRate 50000 20000 100000
First number is download, next upload, third don’t touch :P
Modem will re-sync straightaway once you hit “enter”, to remove cap you need to reboot modem, this command will survive re-sync initiated by DLM . I read somewhere that for DLM pleasure shouldn’t be more than 3 FEC/s, that will give easy calculation. I will check after a 1 hour, 12 hours and 24 hours. If i will fit with above calculation I will not cap any further just wait for DLM to remove interleave on downstream.
Once again thank you @UK Sentinel for this ability.
P.S
All credits to guys from Kitz forum for tips, i just figure out correct command after playing a little bit with these from other forum.
P.S2
Before somebody place any funny comments about playing with these as provider may don’t like it I would like to say that they don’t like for people play with reducing SNR, in this occasion I increased SNR to make line more stable, hope will be helpful for somebody else.
