The WAN port is for telephony it won’t work for a LAN connection.

Thats not correct, WAN port of RT-AC68U is an Ethernet-port, and DSL-AC68U got an DSL-port (for phone-line) there is no WAN port on it. @Patrik Pabo: So you have to use “alternative” picture you posted. AFAIK you have to set in menu which port shall act as WAN-port on your DSL-AC68U, in your case set it to LAN1 and use the port named LAN1.

Correct, my mistake the blue port is DSL not WAN but my advice was correct the port is for telephony only, so you need to use one of the LAN ports.
