Hi guys I know your all busy,I believe your probably the only technical geniusβs answer my questions about Asus xt8s settings, I have set up gig fibre 940 through 61 option automatic i.p, have ai protection off, and auto smart connect off ,oqs off, bandwidth limiter on smaller devices, have no DNS connection and have LAN connection for my Amazon shield, everything else else wireless,small devices connected 2.4 and streaming devices connected 5.1/5.2 ,node on backhal wireless with 2.4 connect first.. firmware is 3.0.04 not melin yet and my issue that I speed is 700 coming through max when was 940 last year and I donβt know what It could be have hard rest them back and started from scratch , hoping your knowledge can help.sorry about the long message, appreciate your time , just a novice trying to find the way

I assume you are a SKY broadband customer in uk ?
Is the only change the firmware revision versions since your tests last year
If not already, try updating to latest firmware 3.0.0.4.388.23285 as you state you are on 3.0.04 ?

January 10, 2024 at 2:37 pm #29030Hi skipper, thanks for having me , sorry my firmware is 3.0.04.<!–more–>388.23285, I don’t know exactly remember what my settings was last year,I couldn’t get on the router, or Asus app without factory reset,so didn’t get a chance to see what was set.???? For some reason I could never log into the router even tho I changed the password,but sorted all that mess out and trying to see if I have it all set up correctly ,my friend did it for me , but we know longer speak so had to kind trial and error until someone pointed me to you guys.i can send scene shots if needed.

Is there any need for speeds >500Mb/s at all?

January 10, 2024 at 5:01 pm #29058Use it mostly for steaming,had/4k and for the kids ,but even with 500+mb it still buffering some time’s ,I used to play 2g film’s with no issues.
