Good Afternoon Mr Sentinel, Would it be possible to get a copy of the latest firmware of the now discontinued DSL-N66U? Trying to breathe some life back into the thing! Thank you and I greatly appreciate your time and dedication. (I keep in consideration that the UKTechHub.com & ASUS Beta T&Cs apply to my request) Cheers!
Welcome, I have emailed you with download link and normal UKTechHub.com ASUS Beta T&Cs apply.

July 1, 2024 at 2:18 am #32692Is there a more up to date beta version available for the DSL-N66U than the released version 1.1.2.3_792 (December 26th 2023)?

I will ask ASUS if I can extract one more beta from them, is there any issues with the DSL-N66U as this may help with new beta firmware release

July 4, 2024 at 7:03 pm #32714Thanks for getting back My current version is: 9.1.2.3_790 (g61d41b5).
Interface slows down and ultimately becomes unresponsive (inaccessible) over the space of two days. But I’ve worked around that by having it auto restart at 3am every other morning.
And simply can’t get RADIUS to work reliably.
Both are just really minor annoyances though.

July 9, 2024 at 12:53 pm #32750@lkprid – I have spoken with ASUS and unfortunately the DSL-N66U is EoL and ASUS are not willing to produce any new beta Firmwares, not even for myself.
From an ASUS perspective, this is understandable and maybe time to plan a new router replacement option at some point in the future.

July 10, 2024 at 2:37 pm #32759That was my understanding, I only asked as I noticed an update for December of last year which I wasn’t expecting and wasn’t sure if it was actually more up to date than the beta I’m running. The actual router has been relegated into a internal test network sort of role already, I just can’t bring myself to retire it as it’s still working admirably after 10+ years (and I like how it looks). Its retirement will be a sad day!

July 16, 2024 at 3:54 pm #32804Welcome, the DSL-AC51/AC750 is not EoL, so I will check with ASUS.
Is there any issues you are having with your DSL-AC51 so I can let ASUS know and this may encourage a beta firmware release

July 26, 2024 at 6:59 am #32922I have checked with ASUS, apparently they have had some bad weather recently hence delay in reply.
Alas no beta firmwares for the DSL-AC51 and ASUS have ‘No plans to release firmware at this time’.
But DSL-AC51 is not EoL, so a positive in that respect.
