So have recently been switched to the flexible Octopus tariff for both Gas and Electric and was wondering if anybody new if the flexible Octopus tariff supports off peak time usage for Electric ?

I read online it could be between 10pm to 8am or 11pm to 7am but thought I would put the question out there as looking at optimal times for dishwasher and washing machine in the evenings ?

So I sent Octopus Energy customer service an email and asked them as to whether there flexible Octopus tariff for Electric supports an off peak rate also.

Octopus kindly responded and stated the following regarding there flexible Octopus tariff

    ———

You only receive one rate for day and night time consumption

Basically Yes, off peak and night time consumption could be interpreted as the same meaning, just in UK, we like lots of different words for the same meaning ;)

Off peak could in some cases be between 22:00 – 07:00 and / or 02:00 – 04:00 etc.

    depends on T&C’ s
