Whirlpool introduced a new refrigerator that integrates a nugget ice maker directly into the fridge — a first for the industry. That means no separate countertop ice machine is needed anymore; the soft, chewable ice (often favoured for drinks and everyday use) is produced inside the fridge itself. It’s part of Whirlpool’s latest 36-inch wide counter-depth 3-door and 4-door French door models, which also offer traditional cubed ice options on dual ice makers.
