Hi I am wondering if anyone has the ASUS router app on iPhone as I am unable to connect to it remotely. It had been working fine but had recently enabled ipv6 as we’ve had installed BT fttp and now it won’t connect remotely. I’m wondering if it could be that or a bug. Ironically we’re away so can’t check or turn ipv6 off. I am currently still on the beta version. Anyone had the same issue on zenwifi AX ? Thanks

May 7, 2022 at 10:46 am #18948That is unfortunate, safer to wait until you return home and then upgrade to new stock release (ASUS ZenWiFi XT8 Firmware version 3.0.0.4.386.48706) and try again.
I have not seen any reports online regarding issues with IPv6 and ASUS router APP, so will be interesting if others have tried ASUS router APP recently etc.

May 8, 2022 at 5:40 pm #18971I may have found the answer in the FAQ’s https://www.asus.com/uk/support/FAQ/1000926/ I imagine it will also include not been able to access from the asus app when ipv6 is enabled

May 8, 2022 at 5:49 pm #18972I thought this was no longer the case but will check with ASUS just to confirm

May 9, 2022 at 6:49 am #18977Ok, so ASUS have come back and they say IPv6 works with APP etc.
When you return home, I would advise you upgrade ZenWifi to latest stock version and then try again.
When/if you send feedback, can you put in comments box that you spoke with ‘UK Sentinel’ and can you use the same email as the one registered to this forum so with your consent, I can pass to ASUS your email address so they can find the feedback form quickly ?
My only concern is that in UK we use IPv6 /56 and others use /64 etc. so will be interesting
Let us know how it goes and if you send feedback form etc ?

Our xx team verified that the remote connection of app works fine when the IPv6 is enabled. Please inform the customer to send the feedback with logs for our analysis.

May 9, 2022 at 3:48 pm #18978Thanks!! yes I will upgrade when back home this weekend as currently in Turkey. I can’t remember if I have the DDNS setting on, not sure if this makes a difference but the app has worked fine when out and about but have only recently enabled ipv6. I’ve tried it here on both WiFi and 4G but still unable to connect on the app. I will try when back home on 4G before turning off ipv6 as well 👍🏻
