I have had Hyperoptic for over 3 weeks now. No complaints so far, blazing fast speed with no slow down or connection issues. Hope it continues this way and I do not have to go back to BT copper lines.
Thanks for update

September 22, 2023 at 7:45 pm #27075After 3+ years with Hyperoptic, I have reluctantly decided to move to Community Fibre.
My current Hyperoptc package is ยฃ25 per month for 1Gb Fibre Broadband & Phone with unlimited UK landline calls.
This will increase to ยฃ31 per month on renewal of the same package.ย Going down to 500mb will apparently be more expensive as that 1Gb renewal was a special offer for me.
Community Fibre have said they will charge ยฃ35 per month for 1Gb Fibre Broadband & Phone with unlimited UK landline and mobile calls.ย They will offer free broadband for the first 12 months (1Gb Fibre is ยฃ25 per month).
Essentially I will pay ยฃ14.95 for installation. First year ยฃ10 per month, second year ยฃ35 per month.ย Seems a really good deal.ย Not sure if anyone else has used Community Fibre.ย My bother and my sister both have the 500mb Community Fibre package which they said is great
Installation is 02/10/2023, lets see how it goes.
Apparently Community Fibre will port over my existing Hyperoptic landline number – not sure how true this is as I have only ever ported between copper telephone lines.

September 23, 2023 at 6:34 am #27078Great deal from Community Fibre and I wish I had those options in my area.
Yes, will be interesting to see what happens with your existing Hyperoptic landline number and if that does get ported across to full fibre.
Always great to have feedback from people going through these challanges

October 12, 2023 at 7:53 am #27497In the end, Hyperoptic matched the offer I got from Community Fibre.ย I was offered ยฃ23 per month for 1Gb Fibre including landline.ย Decided to stay with Hyperoptic as they do not have mid contract RPI price rises like Community Fibre.

Don’t blame you, @ยฃ23 per month is a good deal

October 16, 2025 at 7:06 am #39801After 5 years with Hyperoptic, I have switched to Community Fibre at the end of September 2025.ย Got the 1Gb + phone package for ยฃ30 per month with 12 months free
.ย I know a sales rep at CF who added the 12 month free.ย If anyone is interested or looking to switch to CF, then…….ย Used the ‘One Touch Switch’ service to do it, hopefully I don’t get billed beyond the switch date by Hyperoptic. The speed, ping and service so far has been amazing.ย At least on par with Hyperoptic, if not better.

October 16, 2025 at 9:34 am #39805I was given the Linksys SPNMX57CF by Community Fibre.ย I ditched that and connected the BQ16 2 pack system directly to the modem.
I had pre-drilled a second hole through the metal door frame in my living room, the engineer ran the cabling neatly to where I had requested and wall mounted the modem using velcro.
The landline box is directly connected to the BQ16 via one of it’s ethernet ports.ย No need to use the Community Fibre supplied router at all.

October 16, 2025 at 10:08 am #39807Nice and I thought those speeds looked too good for ISP supplied kit, especially as you are such an ASUS fan

October 16, 2025 at 10:35 am #39808I was getting similar wired speeds with the Linksys too.ย But with the BQ16 I get those speeds wireless too.
