Not done anything from the link.

How i currently have it configured –

On Asus router RT-AC86U

Get the WAN IP automatically No

IP Address – 192.168.2.2

Subnet Mask – 255.255.255.0

Default Gateway – 192.168.2.1

On Hg612

Lan ip 192.168.2.1

EDIT 1 – When i try to access via windows telnet i get this – Microsoft Telnet> 192.168.2.1
Invalid Command. type ?/help for help
Microsoft Telnet>

EDIT 2 – I know why, i did not enter telnet then ip (how embarrassing)

@Mrk26 – I had configured the HG612 the same as my Draytek modem and left Asus router as it was configured for Draytek modem, but i can only access web gui via lan2 on HG612, dslstats works only via lan 2 on HG612 and telnet via windows does not work.

In theory, DrayTeK was 192.168.2.1 and RT-AC86U was 192.168.50.1 so as long as you followed the details previously for DrayTek config , just subbing out DrayTeK ip and subnet for HG612 IP address (192.168.1.1) , it should work if set up correctly on the ASUS – I have achieved this in the past with success – long time ago I would avoid playing with HG612 for a couple of days, as we do not wish to cause any re-synchs etc. if happy with HG612 in a week or so, then we can set-up your configs to suit

I changed the HG612 IP to match the Draytek, so i did not have to change the router wan settings.
