It may be solved, may be not it depends how bad it is and if engineer pick this up. Can you unplug your phone for couple of hours and see if amount of errors go down where only modem is connected, if it does that will give you good argument when you report fault.

Easiest way is with Dsl stats, just install it(maybe just unpack) , in configuration tab select modem, ip address, telenet login and password. After configured click on green arrow on top left and on tab stats.
