Yes I use guest WiFi , only one laptop is using that connection ( work laptop for secure login to work network via VPN)
Interesting, is it possible for you to load Firmware FW21617 again and use for 24 hours and then send me the logs like you have done already ? This would be useful for ASUS ?
Will do, I just have to wait and do the swap after hours, otherwise wife won’t be happy with me, apparently her work is important

Will do it later tonight

I have spoken with ASUS and they do wish to see the logs, I will email you (Forum registered email address) and can you attach log file so I can then forward it to ASUS<noscript>

I can ask ASUS XT8 team if you wish to see if they may know more ? is the below the actual log type messages you are interested in knowing more about … ——– Nov 24 08:09:19 kernel: ^[[0;33;41m[ERROR archer] archer_mcast_activate,577: ADD_PORT: WLAN SSID has already been added: egress_port 7, current 0x0001, new 0x0001^[[0m ——–
Just to update, downgraded to 49873 and no single “error message” in the past 12 hours.

I will see what ASUS say, I am sure it is nothing to worry about and more annoying keep seeing that repetitive log message and would be interesting if others are seeing this also. But as you say, RMerlin is probable correct and relates to NAT accelerator and is meaningless to us users, but no harm in checking
That’s great! Thanks! I was surprised that no one else chimed in experiencing this. There is couple reports about it from last year but no real answers. https://www.snbforums.com/threads/asus-xt8-kernel-error-after-running-newest-beta-xt8-9-0-1-4-386_46197_gfc5aa34_nodpi-for-1-week.75946/
I do not get this continuously, which is why I haven’t taken notice at all. Twice in the log in 2 hours (again no idea what it means though): Nov 24 20:38:22 kernel: ^[[0;33;41m[ERROR archer] archer_mcast_activate,577: ADD_PORT: WLAN SSID has already been added: egress_port 7, current 0x0002, new 0x0002^[[0m Nov 24 20:47:01 kernel: ^[[0;33;41m[ERROR archer] archer_mcast_activate,577: ADD_PORT: WLAN SSID has already been added: egress_port 7, current 0x0002, new 0x0002^[[0m
Thanks for posting this!
There is periods where it calms down on my router as well but then it goes nutz

Can’t wait to se what ASUS techs explanation is.

Yes it is.
Would it be better to send you link to the actual saved log file?
Thanks

Hi folks, new to the forum …
My 1 year XT8 started to throw this error very often in the log
RMerlin on another forum gave me this explanation:
“Archer is Boradcom`s proprietary NAT accelerator, only they know what any of these cryptic messages mean. Quite often they are just debug output, not actual error conditions.”
https://www.snbforums.com/threads/xt8-kernel-error.81904/
Anyone experienced this?
Thanks
It repeats over and over …
