The FritzBox 7530 provided by Zen isn’t locked to them, It allows you to use with other ISPs in the software as Username and Password isn’t locked into the firmware (at least the model I had).

If u want to load any pics, use Imgur.com or similar and paste link

I wouldn’t worry about the previous two images, just an image of the box and another image of the plug and it’s adapter. So far things seem stable with internet, sync speed has gone up slightly and I’m gonna see if DLM starts bumping me up again. Will probably take a few days though.
Initially the upload performance seems more stable for a start, I normally stream stuff from my Plex server when out and about or over my brothers and with the 7530 (Lantiq/Intel) even though I synced at 16megabits the actual throughput speeds were all over the place and unstable causing buffering issues with the video where as the 7530 AX (Broadcom) it’s like it was when I had my DSL-AC88U hooked up and is all stable again and I streamed something just fine today :)

New 7.24 lab-beta released today: https://en.avm.de/fritz-lab/fresh-from-development/fresh-from-development/ FRITZ!Box 7530 AX (19 February 2021) Language: Multi-language Version: 07.24-86287 Date: 19 February 2020
Oh good timing, I’ve let it auto update to 07.22 but I might go ahead and install the beta. After changing the default language etc it seems to be set up and working. See how it goes.

It arrived this morning by normal Royal Mail post. The plug is just a UK adapter fitted onto the German plug. But if its same power requirements I might just use the one that I’m using for my normal 7530. I will set it up shortly and let you know how I get on 🙂

“10:11 PM
Parcel arrived at a carrier facility
Gbcvta, GB”Wow, it’s already arrived in the UK, Gbcvta seems to come up as Coventry. It would be a nice surprise if it showed up in the morning but will hopefully arrive Saturday or Monday assuming nothing goes wrong. Honestly wasn’t expecting it to be so quick. Apparently according to tracking info it’s been transferred from DHL to Parcelforce as a courier though so honestly not sure who it’s coming by.

Just had a quick look at our current setup again. We are using ADSL and the cables are RJ11. I’m going to hold off getting the 7530 AX just a little longer for the time being until the Wifi 6 market matures a little. Plus, I’m also hunting for the cryptid that is the RTX 3060ti. So I will wait until the time is right for me.
Well don’t worry, I’ll test for the both of us :) — It’s just been shipped today from Germany through DHL and is apparently expected between the 23rd – 25th Feb (according to tracking info), Amazon says 27th Feb – 3rd March, we shall see which one is correct.
Good luck with finding a 3060 Ti though.

@Grisu would it be worth installing the 7.24 Fritz Lab version found at the link below when the product arrives or do you think leaving it on 7.21 would be best for now?

I just noticed you posting over there as well 🙂

Broadcom modems seem to be better for my FTTC line as its a Huawei cabinet. Seeing as the 7530AX has that then hopefully things should improve over the Intel/Lantiq that is in the normal model I have now.
That’s been my experience anyway. Its possible things may not go to plan but worth the try. Guess I can always return it if it doesn’t work. 😄

Okay, I have gone and taken the risk and I’ve gone and bought it, but also messaged them again on the order to reaffirm that it will work in the UK and has a UK plug. If its anything like the normal 7530 I assume it will be a RJ45 connection still and I can still use a RJ45 cable as my faceplate is the Openreach MK4 but I’ll keep that converter in mind thanks.

You are correct, here I found them both on AVM: https://en.avm.de/products/fritzbox/fritzbox-7530-ax/technical-specifications/ 20002930 (Germany) 20002944 (International) Interesting why in Austria only 2930 are sold, and we need different plugs too, usually international versions are sold here – I’m very confused! I would assume you can use them both anyhow, only ask for uk-adapters, which is neccessary for both when bought outside UK. Another interesting fact, that boxmatrix shows 20002930 for de and uk, while 20002944 is listed as provider-version: https://boxmatrix.info/wiki/FRITZ!Box_7530_AX At the end I still believe 2930 is for all markets and you have to ask for uk-plugs if sold outside your country while 2944 may have some provider limitations (unknown). There are only 5 hits on google for ‘7530 AX “20002944”‘.
Indeed, BoxMatrix also shows just Annex B and J for the 20002930 version as well and even the AVM website shows the same:
“¹ Annex A and Annex M are only supported by the FRITZ!Box 7530 AX Edition International with the AVM article number 20002944.”
https://en.avm.de/service/fritzbox/fritzbox-7530-ax/knowledge-base/publication/show/37_Supported-DSL-lines/All the information on the 7530 AX is a little confusing haha but surely it would work as the firmware I have on my current 7530 allows me to switch between Annex A and B (I need Annex A). Do I risk buying it?

Shows up on Amazon as £184.44 with delivery at £8.40. So £192.84 altogether which isn’t cheap when you compare it to the normal 7530 which is £132.99. Price wise it’s almost on par with the 7590 UK version right now.
I did see one on eBay slightly cheaper but the seller wasn’t exactly forthcoming with adapter details. Just told me to look at the EAN code and images for more details.

Nothing yet but it’s the weekend so it’s possible I won’t hear anything until tomorrow onwards.
Looking at Amazon though it shows Model no. 20002930 which is the German version if I understood Grisu correctly. I believe International is 20002944 going by the tech specs on the AVM website so the one showing up on Amazon may not have a UK plug. But as soon as I hear something I’ll post it here 🙂

I’ve gone and messaged the seller MOONDROPS AG through Amazon about the UK plug situation to see what they say.
Perfect, shame you was having issues with the ISP 7530, but I am sure the new 7530 AX will be a delight

Yeah it’s a shame. If I was on an ECI cabinet the modem chipset would have been more compatible otherwise its an excellent device. Reminds me of the Billion 8800NL R1 I had before the DSL-AC88U. So if I can get the Broadcom version of the 7530 I’m sure it will help out greatly.
Otherwise I suppose changing to BT and grabbing the BT Smart Hub 2 might also be an option although not as customisable but I do prefer Zen as an ISP.
