So, which is the best option for replacing the ADSL-AC3100 modem? The RT-AC3100 router or the old RT-AC86U? Does anyone know if the RT-AC3100 router has the same problems as the DSL-AC3100 modem? Thank you.

 

I understand the RT-AC86U is a good unit and has a faster CPU than the RT-Ac3100, but unsure of the history of the RT-AC3100
