Asus refused my warrenty some years ago too as they dont call it worldwide warrenty, you have to contact Asus in correct country.
Had much fun from chinese seller … forget them all together with Asus!
Nobody will help you.
Had luck and could sell it for more than I paid for, it was not a HW-defect but unusable for me due to FW problems.
And same with a netbook bought in Germany (in EU too), so this is strategy for all their products.
