Just noticed there is a new firmware version 3.0.0.4.388.22525 for the RT-AX86U
The 22525 release seems to be popular amongst many ASUS router models and generally reading on different forums is that 22525 is a good release. Stability is good for Mesh systems as long as Smart Connect is disabled.
