Hi all,
So bought a iPhone 15 today, have to say though, transfer from Android to iPhone could be a bit better. First off, I found some instructions online via Apple saying to turn on Bluetooth, did that – didn’t find either phone…
Ended up finding another guide saying use the Move to IOS, had to do manual setup and then choose From Android to move data and it only moves certain things – ticked them all and let it go. I did remove a lot of pictures before hand (downloaded to PC) to make it a bit quicker due to quiet a few pics and was using 64GB of space on old phone.
The move worked BUT it didn’t setup any of my email accounts stored in Bluemail App that i use on iPhone mail only added 2 Gmail accounts in iPhone mail and not in the Gmail app that they were in, even though it did download the Gmail app.
A lot of apps it never downloaded either so I had to go manually either download or search and download.
Taken me a while to re-setup the apps with user names, passwords, IDs etc.
One app i was dreading actually ended up being ok, not as bad as I thought. The others meant finding the details again.
Also got a case deleted today and that seems ok so far.
My biggest ear was the iPhone volume level when on a call as on my previous iPhone a long tie ago – iPhone 6 – the volume was pretty quiet even on max setting. This one though seems much better so far – only had 1 automated verification phone call so far so early days but was much better than I remember.
Overall not too bad so far. When I switched from Apple to Samsung, i used a app and it moved pretty much all apps apart from ones not available on Android and I may of needed to setup email as I had to find a email client to use.
