No need to be Jealous, its only a iPhone 15 – not a Pro or anything just the “entry” level with 128GB capacity. I was using approx. 64 gig on my last phone but I reduced the pictures from around 1k down to about 100, of which I’m sure a lot of them could be removed also but was taking too long to go through 1k photos to select the ones I didn’t need so went for the obvious ones :) Currently using just over 34GB in total which must include the iOS and any config etc it requires.
Yes, Pictures, contacts and text messages all came across, weirdly it seemed 1 text message didn’t but it appeared today, even though I know I got it yesterday morning lol.
I am now having fun and games with emails….
One of my email accounts has ActiveSync so it pushes emails to me as opposed to me having to go in and refresh to get new emails.
on the mail app, push is enabled under Fetch but the only option i have on my mailbox is Fetch or manual. No push. It is set to Fetch and automatic but still I don’t get emails until i open the mail app and then it syncs or I pull down to make it refresh new content.
I’ve tried to set the account up as Exchange but after getting to the screen that says enter email and description and click next, it then reverts back to the Add Account page where i can choose iCloud, google, exchange, yahoo, AOL, other etc. So only way to get email is to go other and setup the account using IMAP which is how it was set on bluemail on android but that did receive push so not too sure. I’ve contact my provider to see if they know anything, I’m wondering if maybe I need to some how de-register/remove mail off old device to get this one working or if there is something they need to do… or maybe its a bug in IOS 17? Not sure yet but quiet annoying to not get notifications of new emails when they arrive and think oh no emails yet then you go in later and find a load just come in and at earlier times.
Case I got is not too bad – has a little stand built in so i can stand it up, bit stiff, though was going to break it lol. Also has a belt clip but wont be using that as no need. It’s a case that covers the whole phone so effectively front phone clips into the front part then it all clips into the back part providing all over protection.
Just noticed also that the iPhone now shows manufacture date of battery – Aug 2023, first use Oct 2023… don’t recall it ever showing that before but it has been a while since I owned a iPhone, previous one was a iPhone 6, then switched to Android. Cheap Android, Motorola for a bit and then went Samsung.
It shows Physical sim and also says Available Sim separately with a different number, is this what they refer to as a eSim?
