Wifi 6E is backward compatible with routers that support older standards, but will only connect at the maximum rate supported by the router. So while XT8 doesn’t support Wifi-6E, it does support Wifi-6, so would connect using that standard. The laptop would be able to connect using Wifi-6E in the future if you were to upgrade the router, but there is very little reason at this time to worry about that. In fact, Wifi-7 devices are hitting the market now (usually at a pretty high price).

I wouldn’t be concerned at all.
