The rollout must be in support of CETIN plans for FTTC deployments to support VDSL and Vectoring rollout in Czech with the options for VDSL Bonding next year.

Don’t think the DSl-AC88U (B) support Bonding so will be interesting to see what happens?

Edit: I cannot find what chipset these DSLAM are, will be interesting to see if they are Broadcom, or another type?

Bad news for the new DSL-AC88U-B – with new stable firmware, both – HW acceleration and Ai Security not work properly all together. I have also my older router DSL-AC68U, there is speed with Ai Security setup “on” preserved and all the possible bandwidth is utilized. All types of download.

My test with the DSL-AC88U-B FW 1.10.06_Build585
bittorrent download over 50Mbps/5Mbps VDSL line:

4.8-5MBps – AiProtection off, auto QoS off (one LAN host with RJ45 connection) – met my expectations
50kBps – AiProtection on, auto QoS on (one LAN host with RJ45 connection) – unusable for multimedia

To enjoy full speed I had to turn AiSecurity off. Again.
Hope it helps for the FW investigation.
But many thanks for https, it works fine.

Wishlist: same functionality as DSL-AC68U plus new profiles, aimesh, WPA3 ready

Thanks for letting us know, can I ask, did you do a factory rest after loading latest build585, maybe worth trying,

user @nofixedaddress has highlighted issue with build586 and AiProtection (DSL-AC88U) , I have tested build (stock) 585 and all good with AiProtection/wifi speeds etc, just waiting for house to empty, then can load build586 and test again?

Edit: It maybe worth disabling and then re-enabling AiProtection, to see if this helps with some of the issues you have found with build585 (stock) – other users have noted that with AiProtection working correctly, the speed is reduced with AiProtection on and hopefully ASUS will fix in future releases.

I dont understand why asus stopped releasing beta firmwares for ASUS DSL-AC88U-B Annex B version?Last beta firmware i find on web is build 566.Every time i have to waiting for official stable release to fix someting,like the ram usage and it was just the same beta that release month earlier.im wondering when asus is going to add simple ASUS Router App support.I payed freaking 300€ for the router.

I do chase ASUS for the Beta’s for the DSL-AC88U – B, but ASUS for some reason, do not seem keen on  producing/release them.

I will chase ASUS again and add this to my list ;)
