In essence, you ideally are looking for Fastpath both upstream and downstream and increasing SNR could help, I thought your SNR was already 5 or 6 so any increase on this will reduce synch speeds so less bandwidth and 5 or 6 is good already for stability etc. What is your ping to http://www.bbc.co.uk ? Is you SNR 5 ? (I forget)

A slow round trip ping, I remember reading some time ago about a DrayTek 130 owner whom had a slow line and used the below code to increase synch speed etc vdsl snr -50 Basically this reduces line SNR value, maybe worth a try and if to many DSL disconnects, revert back? If no joy then to get back type: vdsl snr 50
My thinking was upping the snr to see if it would reduce the interleaving over time, and if it does then revert back to default snr value.
Changing the snr value seems to instantly change the interleave figure, raising the snr reduces the interleave figure and reducing the snr raises the interleave figure.

It is approx 2 yards from a street light pole, the street light pole is approx 5 ft lower than the BT pole where the wires connect to it and connect into a box on the pole.

I think we should nominate you as our DrayTek 130 Modem resident expert

I just want the best from my line and searched online for the info and thought I’d share my findings.
since I reduced my snr to 4db my line stats have increased to –
DS Actual Rate : 47075000 bps US Actual Rate : 11810000 bps.
DS Attainable Rate : 56175320 bps US Attainable Rate : 11940192 bps

I switch to the alternative firmware (which was recommended on the Draytek forum as I’m on an ECI cab) my errors reduced and my line speed increased. SNR is at 6db at present.

No, no issues report on a Broadcom cabinet.
I have reduced my snr further by entering the cmd vdsl snr -25, it is now on 4db.
