Hyperoptic service is US funded (backed) and supplies two types of Router, (I believe)

ZTE H298A  and ….   (cannot find the other one currently as dinner has just arrived)

• ZTE H298N –
• ZTE H298A

ZTE is Chinese, so basic and Tilgrin is Swedish, so very interesting ?

I see, Is the wifi on the Tilgin HG2381 poor, which is why you are using the DSL-AC88U ?

Maybe time to get your drill out and finish the job correctly 

Edit: forgot to say, if you are stuck with DSL-AC88U using it via WAN port, maybe wise to schedule a weekly reboot of router, a few issues with DHCP they have which a weekly reboot helps with

That is really bad luck, but understandable from the Engineers perspective, drilling holes in Internal walls always a chance of hitting a power cable/plastic pipe etc.

Time to get a sparky out to put power socket in hallway, or do it yourself ;-)
