Yes, I think its part of the Black Friday deals that are now well known so they hike prices as they show a reduced by x amount or % meaning you think you are getting a deal and buy it, especially when they add a timer and say this price for x hours/days etc, people wont look elsewhere for fear of missing out on the price. Plus also amazon used to be a good place to buy stuff but as with most companies, as they get bigger and bigger I think greed sets in as they know they have thousands of customers and as its a one stop shop for lots of various items, people will pay it so they get you sucked in, especially if your a prime customer as its free delivery next day or on your chosen day so they pull you in with the tv steaming as a additional draw.
Personally, I only order certain things from Amazon, i.e. I don’t order say PC component’s (like CPU, gfx cards, MB etc) as I tend to buy them from a actual computer supplier but I may use amazon for smaller items like keyboard/mouse/heat sink if price is comparable or in stock if needed quickly.
As I discovered about a year ago, CPUs stopped coming with heatsinks, previous PCs I bult CPU always came with stock heatsink so always used that, now they don’t.
