Disappointed the new production firmware has not been released yet for the ET12 to replace version 388. I am still running version 386 for ethernet stability reasons, but want to get all the features this system can deliver.
Has anyone installed the latest beta ASUS ZenWiFi Pro ET12 Firmware version 9.0.0.6.102.4856 and if yes, is it worth installing or is it too buggy? Any idea when the production version will be released?

April 4, 2023 at 12:11 pm #23570Issues include web UI wont load and Node connection problems, it is a beta so probable better to avoid

No idea on formal release but I guess they ‘ASUS’ are struggling with releases currently

That would be wise – no point loading new ‘buggy’ beta firmware

April 25, 2023 at 9:28 am #23911I have installed Version 388.23013 and it seems to have fixed the ET12 wired nodes dropping connections showing a solid red LED.
However, they did not include Guest Network Pro (which I want to use for all my IOT devices) and VLAN. Do you know when this is planned, as these features were mentioned in both of the Beta Versions?

Great news.
I will check with ASUS and ask when they might be releasing the ‘Synchronize Guest network pro (SDN) with VLAN’ service which was part of the ASUS ZenWiFi Pro ET12 Firmware version 9.0.0.6.102.4856 beat build.

April 26, 2023 at 7:38 am #23920ASUS have come back and said the following …
——-
Guest Network Pro and VLAN will be in 3.0.0.6.102, not be in 3.0.0.4.388. (9.0.0.x is beta).
——-
I believe the challenge is ASUS are not 100% sure if 3.0.0.6 will be the next release, as new 3.0.0.4 release could be required due to security or a fault/bug etc.
But Guest Network Pro and VLAN is planned to be be included in stock firmware for the ET12, at some point

May 24, 2023 at 3:06 pm #24695Just a quick update, the ET12’s wired nodes have started dropping connections again (the ET12 as the router is OK) showing a solid red LED, so I re-downgraded the firmware on all three ET12s to release 386.48823. Therefore Version 388.23013 did not fix this issue permanently.
So it seems I will have to wait for release 3.0.0.6.102 and keep my fingers crossed!

That is a shame, hopefully release 3.0.0.6.102 when it arrives will be the big fix
