So ASUS have come back and said they are looking at the middle of August for the release of 3.0.0.6.102 for the ET12.

Hi @UKSentinel, still no new firmware release from ASUS. I am really, really disappointed with the support (or lack of it) from ASUS regarding the ET12. It was their most expensive mesh router and they obviously rushed it to market. However, they have not supported it properly and have still not delivered the expected and promised features. I have invested heavily in ASUS (3 x ET12 and 7 x XD4 purchased in July 2022) and have used many of their products previously. Is there anything we can do to speed up the new firmware release?

Thanks in advance for any support or advice.

Alas I do not work for ASUS but do agree a new firmware for the ET12 is overdue, I will give them another nudge and see what is happening with there next release

Hi @UKSentinel, I know you do this voluntarily on behalf of everyone and we all appreciate your efforts and knowledge. I just wanted other people to be aware of the lack of ASUS support.

    Have a good day

Thanks, @UKSentinel. Are there any Social Media platforms or Forums that ASUS pay attention to, in order to prompt some action, or is that counterproductive?

So ASUS have come back to me and for the ASUS ZenWiFi Pro ET12 – ASUS currently have no confirmed firmware release date.

ASUS did say they are working on new WiFi 7 models and once they are announced, then the priority is ET12 and others etc.

    Alas no idea of timescales.

Thanks a lot, @UKSentinel. Disappointed with ASUS, but they don’t care as they have my money.

Hi @UKSentinel, I just saw the ASUS RT-AX88U has had a fifth update of Pro Firmware version 3.0.0.6.102. My ET12s are still on version 3.0.0.4.388_24542. Do you have any idea when they will be updated to 3.0.0.6.102? The ET12 was the most advanced and expensive router, but ASUS seems to have abandoned it.

    Thanks for any guidance.

ASUS ZenWiFi Pro ET12 Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388_24585 was released in 2024/09/27 (yesterday) so worth checking the automatic update option ?

    https://www.asus.com/supportonly/zenwifi%20pro%20et12/helpdesk_bios/

    Changelog for reference:

    Version 3.0.0.4.388_24585
    2024/09/27

    1. Optimized memory management mechanisms, improving system efficiency and stability.
    2. Strengthened input validation and data processing workflows, further protecting your information security.
    3. Improved web rendering engine, enhancing browsing experience and security.
    4. Enhanced security of system command processing to guard against potential malicious operations.
    5. Perfected JavaScript-related security mechanisms, offering a more secure web interaction environment.

I will check with ASUS as to whether ASUS ZenWiFi Pro ET12 will be uplifted to 3.0.0.6 branch (WRT 5.0) release going forward.

    Hi @UKSentinel,

Thanks for the info. Strangely, when I looked at:

    https://www.asus.com/networking-iot-servers/whole-home-mesh-wifi-system/zenwifi-wifi-systems/asus-zenwifi-pro-et12/helpdesk_bios?model2Name=ASUS-ZenWiFi-Pro-ET12

I couldn’t see this, but it appeared later. How do you get to https://www.asus.com/supportonly/ ?

I have updated my ET12s, but I am rightly expecting 3.0.0.6.102 not another version of 3.0.0.4.388

    Your thoughts?

    Thanks for your support.
