I am in the process of changing the main forum layout in order to allow the addition of Forum main categories to be quickly accessible from the Left hand side menu bar.

Forum is fully operational and not sure whether this will work and be practical.

So after some deliberation, I have opted to change the left hand side floating menu to reference each individual Forum category for easier navigation.

Will try it for a couple of days and see how how it feels.

As a Test for how the Forum presents itself, I have switched the layout of the Forums Side bar menu options, LATEST ACTIVITY / LATEST TOPICS / LATEST MEMBER and MEMBERS ONLINE are now on the left for easier visual access and less of a distraction when reading main forum threads etc.

@Grisu – thank you for feedback and when I first made the change, I thought the menu being located on the left made more logical sense in terms of access to different information and maybe give the forum a more modern appearance, today I am less convinced.

Sometimes the old (original) ways are better

As part of my ongoing customisations, I have changed the Main Forum page layout and have added the descriptions for TOPICS and REPLIES to the main forum page top bar.

I have also decreased the width of the Right Hand Side Bar as this then allows the Main Forum pages to be wider in the attempt to make the Forum Main pages look more traditional in terms of forum presentation and provide improved usability.

@Grisu – I noticed this also yesterday evening as I performed some plugin update yesterday and large avatar started to show.

I thought I had fixed this yesterday evening, could you check again and if issue is still noticeable, clear the cache in your browser and try again
