The internet I use is dsmart 24 mbps download 6 mbps upload, it may be related to the signal coming to me. I don’t know. Let me send you a photo from airties 5650 for example, and asus ac51. Since Snr Airties is much more stable, I’m adjusting asus accordingly

March 29, 2022 at 7:02 pm #18445I am also having a problem. Within 1-2 days after installing the modem firmware, the Snr setting remains stable at the point I set stable, and then starts to drop. I reset the modem again, it is fixed again, but after 1-2 days the snr drops again. I give an example; The SNR I set to 4 is now fluctuating between 3 and 3.5. How can I fix this?
SNR values will fluctuate a little during the day/night is common, as your variation is very small, unless it is causing you issues, nothing to worry about

March 31, 2022 at 4:50 am #18498Hi,
I’ve done several runs using different settings with firmware 960. I couldn’t find any correlation between SNR margin setting and number of CRC errors. I’ve bought a VDSL splitter to try it out, but it also didn’t affect the frequency of CRC errors.
One interesting thing I’ve noticed though, most of the time it goes around 2.5 min/CRC but there are spikes at the number of CRC errors at certain times (and I don’t know when they are happening). It doesn’t lose connection, but probably it is the reason why sometimes streaming services get stuck and then continues without any issues.
I think I should try with another VDSL modem to see that if this issue is really related with the modem or the VDSL line.
One thing to add, if you are using VDSL/ADSL (which you are, since we are all using the same VDSL modem :)) TurkNet uses the same infrastructure with Turk Telekom. TurkNet does not have its own VDSL infrastructure as far as I know. This is why when you complain about something, they directly reach out to Turk Telekom, because they don’t have the authority to intervene the lines.

March 31, 2022 at 7:04 am #18499That is good to understand, @emrahgoktas has had good results from changing MTU to 1452 which can help to reduce CRC also.
Does the CRC bursts happen at certain times of the day ?

March 31, 2022 at 9:57 pm #18502cmd
ping google.com -f -l 1492
ping google.com -f -l 1482
ping google.com -f -l 1472
mtu i’m okay ping google.com -f -l 1452+28 =1480
1452 in ps5 network settings
crc right now I’m not having a problem with the question, I’m getting 60 crc errors daily
It is more stable now, but the snr settings must be given exactly the right setting. 1-2-3 adjustment is up and down, but it should be tried, unfortunately, it does not work properly.

I’ll try that. And still I want to try the AM radio test but it is really difficult to find these days :D
I don’t know when these bursts happen because I only check CRC daily. If there is a way to get a time-series graph of CRC numbers, that would be great to see that. Even if I could get number of crc errors and time as a numeric data that would be fine. Do you know if there are any ways of getting this kind of logging information from this modem?

When you use the ping like this, what parameter are you checking out to understand the correct MTU setting? I’ve tried SNR margin settings, if I don’t set it, I get around 9 db with 100 mbps, I’ve tried the new firmwares default, 15 db and got 80 mbps but that didn’t change CRC errors at all. Right now I’m using 11 db with 95 mbps.
