That is good to understand, @emrahgoktas has had good results from changing MTU to 1452 which can help to reduce CRC also. Does the CRC bursts happen at certain times of the day ?
I’ll try that. And still I want to try the AM radio test but it is really difficult to find these days :D I don’t know when these bursts happen because I only check CRC daily. If there is a way to get a time-series graph of CRC numbers, that would be great to see that. Even if I could get number of crc errors and time as a numeric data that would be fine. Do you know if there are any ways of getting this kind of logging information from this modem?
cmd ping google.com -f -l 1492 ping google.com -f -l 1482 ping google.com -f -l 1472 mtu i’m okay ping google.com -f -l 1452+28 =1480 1452 in ps5 network settings crc right now I’m not having a problem with the question, I’m getting 60 crc errors daily It is more stable now, but the snr settings must be given exactly the right setting. 1-2-3 adjustment is up and down, but it should be tried, unfortunately, it does not work properly.
When you use the ping like this, what parameter are you checking out to understand the correct MTU setting? I’ve tried SNR margin settings, if I don’t set it, I get around 9 db with 100 mbps, I’ve tried the new firmwares default, 15 db and got 80 mbps but that didn’t change CRC errors at all. Right now I’m using 11 db with 95 mbps.
which is the right value to set mtu 1452??

ping google.com -f -l 1492 = Defrag
ping google.com -f -l 1464 = no defrag
MTU = 1464 + 28 (IP/ICMP headers) etc. this = 1492 (PPPoE)
‘What some people do not realise is that PPPoE actually adds another 8 header bytes hidden down at the data-link and physical layers and the OS isn’t aware of it header 1492 + 8 = 500’

I dislike getting involved in these types of conversations as many different views /opinions and depends what kit you are using and connecting to Gaming / Country / Servers etc. . but for UK .
UK PPoE MTU is 1492 usually is good.

April 2, 2022 at 4:46 pm #18515The problem that happened to me is very interesting, let me tell you like this. I used Turkey turk telekom ttnet normally for years as well as mtu 1492 without any problems. But last month I switched to Dsmart and after that, devices connected to wifi did not allow me to access the internet or ps5 psn online via cable. But my pc wired internet without any problems. .Later I researched and I said for mtu dsmart, I tested it at 1400-1452-1480. I am using it with 1400 mtu now, there is no problem in speed or internet connection. Besides, I saw a lot of difference in ping. 26sn for 24mbit is fine now. daily crc Between 52-60.

So I have had a response from ASUS regarding a Kernel Core refresh and alas they have no plans at the moment.
I would advise for those that are interested in having the Kernel core Linux Image updated, then send a Feedback form to ASUS as they may respond if enough requests are made

I am afraid no such plan at the moment.

</noscript>Even if the modem stays on for a week, I don’t have CRC problems, but after turning the modem off and on again after a while, I get an incredible number of CRC errors. In addition, this problem also occurs during power cuts.. ASUS AC51 has started to get tiring lately!
