Patio Cleaners – Wet & Forget Mould, Lichen & Algae Remover

So had a stab at cleaning our patio with the power washer in preparation for trying a chemical patio cleaner called – Wet & Forget Mould, Lichen & Algae Remover.

Managed to pick up a 5 Litre bottle from Costco for £16 the other month, and thought I would give it a go to remove the awful lichens and black spots that never seem to go away.

So gave the patio a gentle pressure wash today and now waiting for the patio to dry so that Wet & Forget can be applied in the evening when most of the water has dried and then it can be left to soak in overnight before the rain arrives tomorrow.

Note: Wet & Forget Mould, Lichen & Algae Remover reviews for black spot treatment are vague, so will be interesting to see how well our black spot problem is treated.

In theory, you are supposed to apply the patio cleaner and then over time (months) the patio cleaner will work its magic so I plan to take another picture in a few months to see if this patio cleaner has really worked.

I did it with Kärcher and got good results without chemicals.

So a year later, picture below of how well the Wet & Forget Mould, Lichen & Algae Remover has worked in just 12 months, comparing last year picture to this year shows a big difference and even black spot coveridge has improved (decreased)

Whole patio is much brighter in appearance and algea etc, has totally disappeared.

Kärcher High Pressure Surface Cleaner

We use to have a Kärcher pressure washer with the patio cleaner head and it cleaned very well, alas our new jet washer ( Nilfisk ) patio cleaning head is not as good as Kärcher’s.

I keep meaning to find an adapter to allow me to use our old Kärcher patio cleaner head which I saved with our new Nilfisk Titan 120 Pressure Washer.
