June 21, 2022 at 8:21 pm #19278I believe somebody go an ear bending back at ASUS HQ

This build like other ASUS models contains important security updates so I would be tempted to try.
Edit: other forums are saying latest RT releases for other models are less than ideal, so maybe worth a miss

June 25, 2022 at 7:06 pm #19299Thanks, yes i was having a look online and I see reports of some potential WIFI issues and also debugging still enabled in logs so getting lots of info in logs which I think we had in a earlier firmware but then got turned off/minimised.
Some people have rolled back due to the issues so I think I’ll leave it for a while and maybe wait for the next release and see what feedback is in, maybe this one was rushed out?

Looks like Asus have a new firmware out:-
Version 3.0.0.4.386.49599
2022/07/12Â 77.11 MBytesAnyone tested this as I believe was some issues with the previous one released in June after the long gap from the previous one in Jan.

July 22, 2022 at 7:16 pm #20290Hi,
Thanks, yes the logs seem all over the place, I think after I did one of the updates, I got way more info in logs and since then it’s been more than initial although admittedly I don’t really check them much now as I’ve basically given up getting Sonos to work and everything else is working ok so I’ve just decided to skip Sonos as the units I have are old and Sonos are keen to get you to trade in and pay more for newer versions, wouldn’t mind but they not exactly cheap pieces of kit.
I’ll give it another couple of weeks until its been out about a month and then I’ll look to update it.
I’ll check to check out SNB :)
Thanks
Kev
