    Sometimes, after a few firmware updates and changes, Netgear routers if you notice they are not behaving as they should do, rebooting randomly, DHCP and wifi not working or problems that a factory reset initially fixes, but then creeps back in again after a couple of days, then try to use TFTP rather than just factory reset to upload the latest firmware for some Netgear Routers.

    I had a couple of issues with my Netgear XR500 which others owners was not reporting, so used the below guide (Windows) to get the XR500 working as it should do.
