Alas the ASUS DSL routers are always slower to release new features compared to the ASUS RT range.

BTW – RMerlin was working/talking on this back at the beginning of January from what I remember, so I assume If ASUSWRT-Merlin now supports Wireguard then @GNUton whom uses ASUSWRT-Merlin for his build will have Wireguard for the DL-AX82U already (maybe) ?

No idea if this is relevant or not but the Asus router app does not find a new firmware version
Usually, it takes time for the firmware to propagate (replicate) to the ASUS download servers throughout the world, hopefully your will be ready in a day or so
Edit: just noticed Version 3.0.0.4.386.49674 download link no longer works so looks like firmware has been pulled hence maybe why your DSL-AX82U app is not picking up latest release ?

Firstly the RGB has now stopped working ….. The WiFi connection took ages to connect !! And i also noticed that the zip file ends in 49674 – but when unzipped file is 49606
I just tried to download Version 3.0.0.4.386.49674 and the download link is dead, does look like an error on ASUS side regarding Firmware released version.
Go back to Version 3.0.0.4.386_48378 or earlier I would

As a follow up, ASUS have just published another firmware for the DSL-AX82U
Version 3.0.0.4.386.49606 and the download link is now working again

Note: looks like this released version has regressed slightly ….
Previous firmware was – Version 3.0.0.4.386.49674
New release is – Version 3.0.0.4.386.49606

The incorrect version numbering has been made, so it seems to have been corrected.
When I installed the version (49674), the updated version appeared (49606 ). There is no difference between the two versions and the MD5 code. It’s just a simple file naming inaccuracy. 49674 = 49606You need to login in order to vote

Well spotted, just had a look at change-log and it is almost identical to release Version 3.0.0.4.386.49606
Seems previous 49607 was a quick fix and a roll back from before 49606
