No screams heard yet, so I think that’s a positive sign!
Life on the edge, if your good lady is still happy after Friday, this will be a great sign

Excellent news
, people in other forums say they experienced different problems. But they did not factory reset and are reluctant to do so. I always factory reset after updating just to rule out as much as possible. You need to login in order to vote
January 20, 2022 at 8:06 pm #17273This forum has been a real life saver the past few months since I got my XT8.
I tried the upgrade myself this morning – no factory reset
Had a 6 hour Teams call today – 2 hours in and the issues started – frequent disconnects, the mrs was in the other room and at the same time started to get the same issues.
Had to revert back to 42095 – stability resumed.
I’ll try a factory reset over the weekend to see if that helps and report back
Thanks for the help everyone

Welcome, let us know if the factory reset provides better stability, would be a good example as you have problems currently

January 21, 2022 at 6:53 pm #17293Good to hear that.
Do you think it’s the factory reset that made the difference? Also I’m only running in AP mode, my router doesn’t have a bridge mode unfortunately.

I cannot say as I always factory reset after updating. I also change nothing on my ISP mode/router other than to turn off the Wi-FI. The 4 x XT8’s provide WI-FI throughout my flat.

January 21, 2022 at 10:18 pm #17299Just had all 3 nodes lose connection. They are all connected via wireless backhaul. Sent feedback to ASUS via UI.

January 22, 2022 at 8:32 am #17300was it the wireless that disconnected/dropped or maybe the front end router/modem that re synced with local cabinet that gave the impression that the Zen wifi dropped ?
Sometimes difficult to distinguish unless you are specifically looking at the time ?
Either way, hope it was just a one off

January 22, 2022 at 9:00 am #17301The actual Hyperoptic modem/router did not lose connection as my TV is connected to it via ethernet. That was still working. Nothing was connecting to the XT8’s.

Was both 2.4GHz and 5GHz effected ?
Is Guest WiFi enabled by any chance ?

January 22, 2022 at 9:40 am #17305I’ve factory reset mine this morning, not had chance to run a proper test but I was wondering what settings you guys use for the 5.2 backhaul?
On mine, channel and wireless mode on auto things seem to be fine – but if I try and fix a channel or select AX mode only my node wont reconnect?
If I choose the channel (100) and Mode as AUTO the node will only connect on 2.4ghz
Any thoughts?
