I’ll send them feedback straight away.
Thank you, I wonder if any body else has noticed the “kernel: BUG: Bad page map in process asusdiscovery” type error log and/or having issues with their client list not updating etc ?
BTW – when was the last time the XT8’s where factory reset and rebuilt from scratch, not using a backup copy of configs. ?

April 17, 2023 at 12:09 am #23800Back in February with “FW_ZENWIFI_XT8_300438822525” and it was a pain in the arse, having to set it up with all the nodes, let it settle down for an hour or so and then setup the fixed IPs and port forwarding’s. Not something I relish doing too often.

April 17, 2023 at 7:41 am #23802Does seem as though the issue you are experiencing is not to common, hopefully ASUS will come back and comment on your Feedback also.
If not then a “featuture” you may have to live until frustration gets the better of you and you decide to factory reset

April 21, 2023 at 2:00 pm #23865Had to downgrade back to 22525. Seems much more stable than the latest one. Both main and node keep dropping clients or passing users to each other like a hot potato. Client won’t stick to a closer node even if the user is not moving. Weird. At least in 22525, i’ve solved my backhaul problem by auto restarting the node every other day, that way keeps it refreshed and ram cleared i assume.
this latest fw is a no-no for me.

April 21, 2023 at 6:02 pm #23870I agree that 22525 was much more stable than 23012. Found one of the 3 nodes lose show weak connection quality. Simply clicking ‘reboot node’ fixed it. Not sure when that happened or why. Might give it some more time to see if it happens again or may just revert to 22525.

April 22, 2023 at 10:21 am #23880same here : reverted back to 22525, because of unstable satelite connection.

April 28, 2023 at 1:20 am #23959I updated to 23012 on April 15 and no real issues so far. Up-time 12.5 days, free RAM 187MB and wireless backhaul looks good, no drops, steady at 80MHz
System log is showing 11+ days, normal Disassoc/ReAssoc entries, but nothing else of interest or concern.

May 1, 2023 at 2:49 pm #24173I have seen mentioned that Download Master is having issues with authentication, so a bug maybe ?

May 4, 2023 at 7:37 am #24243@UK Sentinel, will you be able able to ask ASUS if this is a new ‘feature’ or a known bug? Or is it just me doing things wrong? Thanks
Ok, so had to chase ASUS on this, but ASUS have confirmed that during setup with the app there was no option to set password for 5GHz-2.

This issue indeed can be reproduced, related engineers now working on a solution

May 7, 2023 at 11:31 pm #24306Are there issues with the ASUS servers, because for the past few days I’ve been getting this error when checking for updates for my ZENWiFi AX?
“The router cannot connect to ASUS server to check for the firmware update. Please download the latest firmware from ASUS Product Support Site and do manually upgrade. Check on FAQ for more instructions.”

May 8, 2023 at 8:41 am #24309Sometimes, ASUS OTA function can be a little broken, I have not not seen or read about any recent ASUS download servers being offline.
Are you by any chance receiving also a message such as:
Note: Manual Firmware update will update this Aimesh router ….. etc.
