January 26, 2024 at 12:52 pm #30125Great news

Doesn’t seem to be on the ASUS UK Download servers as yet, but I am sure it will be there by tomorrow for those that prefer to perform a manual firmware upgrade.

January 26, 2024 at 3:13 pm #30250Almost 2 months since I set my v1 XT8′ to AP mesh mode and placed them behind a new router, and they’ve been working flawlessly.
I just manually updated both nodes and this was the first time they’ve been restarted since mode change.
Wireless speed tests normal, around 800-850mbps+ down on a 1gig ISP connection (850ish on ethernet connected node and 800ish on wireless backhaul connected node)
Current Version : 3.0.0.4.388_24609-gca2277b
Auto Firmware Upgrade: disabled
Security Upgrade: disabled
ASUS Privacy Notice: Declined

January 26, 2024 at 5:07 pm #30266ASUS did have something simular for the Trend aspect of the AiProtection licence, does look as thought they have broadened there Privacy Policy.
Would be interesting if XT8 users outside the EU also receive this EULA ?
Seems from the above screenshots, if you are a business using an ASUS router, you cannot agree to the EULA

January 26, 2024 at 5:22 pm #30269Iโm in the US and the US site does not show the new BIOS yet but I downloaded it from the link provided and did a dirty upgrade. So far, so good. Also got the new Privacy and EULA acceptance pages, but only 1 time.
System seems stable and all my node and all devices reconnected fine.

May have spoken too soon. Upgraded this morning around 9:00am and just had my primary Mesh unit reboot itself at 12:30pm. I saved off the detailed crash log from the System Log.

Received both in Canada, one seems to be generally related to automatic firmware update, control via smart device…and the other, to the security features, specifically Trend Micro AiProtection.
If you aren’t using auto updates, router control via smart devices or Trend Micro AiProtection, you don’t have to agree to either of them. You can also revoke both after the fact from the router GUI under Advanced/Administration/Policy
