So ASUS have come back and they have spoken with the Chipset Venodor, they have agreed that SNR has changed to 15 dB A new firmware below with the adjustments to try for the DSL-AC51 only – if feedback is positive, the change will be made to other MediaTek based modem/routers also in future firmware’s for other models (factory reset advisable) I have made the firmware only available for members to download, as this is a test firmware version. yes. i hate from late connection problem at 960. And i solved crc problems at 959.

Apart from delayed connection issue with 960 and 2x  CRC, was stability better ?

Did 960 firmware force SNR at 15dB ?

Any feedback I can pass to ASUS to help them make the next firmware better  ?

no 960 fw didnt force 15db, i could adjust snr margin..

Everything is ok nowly for 959v.. I wont pass any version to fix late connection problem. I happy with 959.

Understood, if any body else is using this firmware and was experiencing DSL stability issues, did leaving the SNR at 15dB make the DSL connection more stable, less DSL disconnections ?

Do you have many CRC with 8 or 3dB ?

Have you tried SNR to 15dB to see if CRC reduce ?

When I set the snr to 15db, I do not get Crc errors in any version. I will write like this; For 960 version, same settings same 3db higher Crc error. Same settings same 3db I get less Crc error in 959 version.

    Perfect,

Edit: Do you have many DSL line disconnects with 3dB SNR with .959 ?
