April 20, 2022 at 9:42 am #18731I am using Asus DSL-AC750 model. I get internet service over VDSL in Turkey. My internet service provider uses CGNAT. A public ip is shared by several users. That’s why private ip is shown on the modem interface. That’s why DDNS is not redirecting to my public ip. It is directed to private ip. This is a problem so I can’t use the DDNS service. Can you ask Asus to forward DDNS service to Public IP on CGNAT?

April 20, 2022 at 10:53 am #18732Can you send a feedback form and put in your request via comments box, also put you spoke with ‘UK Sentinel’ so I can speak with ASUS about there official recommendations etc .
This is always a problem with CGNAT, Is there an option to purchase a static IP address from ISP or use IPv6 ?

April 20, 2022 at 8:16 pm #18735You have to ask your provider to give you a dynamic PUBLIC IPv4 address!!!
This might be charged with one time or monthly fees.Asus or any other manufacturer cant do anything for you as CGNAT uses internally between your provider to you special 100.x.x.x addresses which are NOT accessible from internet!

Yes that is possible some manufacturers have added this feature eg keenetic but I do not want access from the internet.I just want the public ip to be forwarded to ddns not private ip on cgnat. I do not use static and am using nextdns so i have to send my current public ip to update ip record for next dns. But if Asus can add DoH or DoT support it won’t be needed.

I now understand what you are looking for, DNS over TLS (DoT) is supported by the ASUS mainstream devices including my DSL-AX82U – I can ask if ASUS will add this to the DSL-AC750 etc.
