Ok, so I spoke with ASUS and they have confirmed what we all had thought in that the DSL-AC750 and simular will not support DDNS behind CGNAT.

Unsure of timescales but ASUS have agreed to add DNS over TLS (DoT) support to the DSL-ASUSWRT (MediaTeK) based modem/routers

Back to my day job now

ASUS have kindly given me two early release beta firmware’s (DSL-AC52U – DSL-AC51) which have the following fixes. ASUS are currently still working on the reported OPEN VPN bug- but this will be released very soon

    • OPENSSL bug,
    • enable DDNS support SSL for DNS-O-Matic issue.

Thanks, it solved the DDNS issue but unfortunately my ISP has decided to put in CGNAT on this week . Hope that DNS server can accept domain name when the DoT feature is available.

Ok, so I spoke with ASUS and the DSL-N14U is now officially EOL (End of Life)

ASUS have kindly created one last firmware for the DSL-N14U and have added to my list of EOL firmware’s for ASUS DSL routers

    ASUS DSL Legacy (EOL) Firmwares

I will email you the link for this firmware release and UKTH ASUS Beta T&C’s apply etc.

    Enjoy

I believe the DSL-N14U does not have a setting to automatically configure it as an Access Point, but you can manually configure the DSL-N14U to act like Access Point by manually turning DHCP off and also nat qos off and copy Wifi SSID etc.

Been a while since I have used a DSL-N14U and there is the WDS > AP option, but I seem to recall this was more trouble than it was worth ?

Look under Advanced Settings > Wireless > WDS

I thought the DSL-N14U had this option, it was  7 years ago the DSL-N14U was first released, so I maybe mistaken

    No it cannot !

Wireless N has a Maximum throughput: 450Mbps but in practice, especially due to hardware limitiations, 150Mbps is more likely.

The DSL-N14U has 4 LAN ports: each supporting  10Base-T/100Base-TX (100Mbps) max
