Not much help but interesting, the ASUS RT-AX68U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388.21732 had lots of issues with 2.4 GHz wifi and device connectivity and was released around the same time as your ASUS RT-AX86U Series(RT-AX86U/RT-AX86S) Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388_24231.

The ASUS RT-AX68U has just had a new firmware release so will be interesting to see if 2.4GHz wifi connectivity issues remain as this may be a good indication for your ASUS RT-AX86U also for next release (maybe skip this release)

thanks, I’ve not seen many posts on RT-AX86U WIFI issues previously other than bespoke/aimesh issues but not just standalone.ย  I still have the constant association/disassociation going in but thankfully it hasn’t actually impacted anything so far.

Annoying to see the logs but so far its managing, maybe the update will improve that too, will see.

Just bit worrying the smart plugs not connecting after the update as can’t afford for those not to work and don’t want to go buy a updated/different smart plug as not overly cheap and these ones have been fine so far in the most part.

Only issues I’ve had is when power goes out randomly at my place, it doesn’t always reconnect to the network but ones at my parents place, who’s power never goes out have been rock solid work as needed to and have been installed for few years now so pretty good.ย  I bought an extra 1 incase one went faulty but so far all ok.ย  I previously had WEMO ones which were fine but very expensive and one of those just went pop one night out of the blue.ย  No one had touched it, turned it on via app and pop.ย  Since then WEMO stopped producing them so switched to TP-Link/Kasa and been fine since, cheaper than WEMO too. I believe they only support 2.4ghz so I’m highly expecting with the creating of WIFI 7, how long before 2.4ghz is dropped?

I See rt-ax68u firmware 24646 was released 26 Feb, you think RT-AX86U will get a new firmware version soon too? There last one was Nov 2023 I think.
