I reset the box, hard reset on the box, let it find an uplink, then started the wizard, it went through, left it while I did the dishes come back and the exclamation mark had gone, and we was on, but Im getting less than 20mbps, when it should be around 66mbps.

    Thanks for the advice

Try the other options in my above post, especially the MTU etc?

Ok, I shall give them a blast.

I sniffed the details out using wireshark IIRC.

I tried with stock firmware that was posted few links back, but that was also saying link down on the dsl, so I reset router to factory, then flashed it with beta, held reset for about 15 seconds, then went through everything, and it was talking to the line, as I could see the data moving, through the uplink. How do I go about the option 61 string, as I have read it must be in HEX?, etc. I did try to convert it online to hex, and put that in but still the same.

Right, Ive flashed it, reset it, flashed it, and reset it about half a dozen times lol. I have managed to get it to see the DSL connection with the beta firmware, and its showing data going back and forth.

But, it says no internet, so Im thinking its an authentication problem, Ive tried using the DHCP box, and using the option 60, and even option 61 which I sniffed out from the Sky router, but still nothing.

Here’s my log from when I had some sort of connection

Hi, Yes. When it got to 100% and says complete, I go into other room, stick a paperclip in reset button hole for 5-10 secs, then release, then go back and when its all kicked back in I try to setup via wizard via long lan cable. I’m back using the Sky bog standard router at the moment, I’ll try again later on, and I’ll take some screenshots etc.

    Cheers

Hi, I was wondering if you can help me out at all. I have Sky Fibre, I want to use my DSL-N66U with, it works with the last standard firmware from ASUS, and connects via its own on setup no problem, but the wifi is rubbish and keeps dropping out. Ive used the last two betas, the wifi is perfect but I cant for the life of me get the damn thing to connect. I used the beta versions with my old sky broadband before fibre, and it was perfect. When I reflash it with the last 2 betas it just says initialising…………then X and Link down. Whats been left out or changed between the original firmware and the betas that just doesnt want me to connect. When I go into setup wizard Ive chosen Sky, etc. Nothing

    These are the betas

    DSL-N66U_v9.1.2.3_502-g2bdb05b

    DSL-N66U_v9.1.2.3_617-gfa1b634

    Thanks in advance

    Steve
