looks innovative idea to drill/cut small holes and use USB fan as an exhaust.
but you can buy cheap fan from amazon or so? or use laptop cooling pad fan as exhaust fan?
something like -> https://www.amazon.co.uk/ELUTENG-3-Degree-Portable-Powered-Compatible/dp/B06XQWMFDQ/

Hey, it’s sorted alphabetically according to starting alphabet of the producer (Example – A to Z or Z to A). but you can customize it according to certification or categories -> performance, usability, and protection. (where six is the highest number AV can achieve in a particular category)

that’s very cool
, would be very helpful for others who are having similar issue with Lenovo Laptops. You need to login in order to vote
Malwarebytes is one the good malware tools out there; I have been using it for last 10 years to remove unwanted software from computers …. I prefer using offline version because real time version is aggressive on site while surfing web.
I prefer Windows Defender as AV because it’s come preinstalled on Windows 8 or later devices…. in the past 5 years I have not gone back to any other third-party antivirus.
combining Malwarebytes with uBlock Origin browser extension + Windows Defender + ASUS Ai Protection gives enough security without much compatibility issue, or issue with installing windows updates, falls positive software detection etc…
I have used – Avast, Avira, Kaspersky, ESET, Symantec and McAfee in past none of them given me satisfaction

I’m not sure … if there are third party software that can achieve this ….
but dell laptops comes with dell power manager , which is sorta same what u can do in BIOShttps://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/drivers/driversdetails?driverid=h2vh9
custom charge is fine …. if laptop is docked and connected to power supply 24/7
Set start chargingΒ – 0 ( if start is greater … i’m not sure what will happen if charge % falls below start point )
set stop charging – between 60 – 80after battery reach stop% , it stop charging .. windows show it’s plugged in ..but not charging which is goodΒ ….. ( when u restart laptop , windows does check battery charge status …during that time u might see status as charging )
—————————————————————-
i would avoid any software that claims it stop battery from charging ,Β Β lets say your working on laptop that is set not to charge or without batteryΒ ….. now by chance there is power outage ….. because it’s set not to charge …. you will lose all work you have done and laptop will shut off instantly ……so it’s best to keep it set -> stop charging after certain % ,in my opinion

there is few way to know what your getting … in terms of batteries
1) – ask seller what’s manufacturing date of the batteries
2) –Β if buying from Amazon ( u can scroll down and look for “Date first available at” ) .. this will give u some rough picture
3) – look at laptop models that particular batteries are compatible .. ( so example lets say u see Dell Vostro 5568 .. that mean it’s using 7th gen intel processor … so 3-4 years old ..so we know dell been using it last few years …….dell t provide 1 year warranty on all products )
———————————————————————————
now taking above stuff in picture ….. we know Lithium-ion discharge rate is about 3% to 4% per month approx ….. that mean full discharge will occur in about 2 years 1 month ( if kept in shelf as it is without charging )now the typical estimated life of a Lithium-Ion battery is about 300+ charge cycles, One charge cycle is a period of use from fully charged, to fully discharged, and fully recharged again.
now if seller charged it 2-3Β times per year to preserve battery and stored in good temp …before selling itΒ Β ……………. we can except wear level of 1% to 5% ( can still hold 99% to 95% of charge )
now if battery is counterfeit , taken from used laptop or stored in bad condition with no careΒ … wear level will be from 25% to 60%+ ………
you can calculate wear level and set your parameter .. about good and bad condition battery …
before buying .. check reputation of seller , reviews …seller location etc etc ..
combing everything will give you rough picture of what your going to get and you u can always return it . if it don’t falls as per your expectation and get another
Note: – I can be fully wrong about Lithium-Ion and above theory …..soΒ please take it as grain of salt.

when new battery arrive ….Β set custom battery charging in BIOS to help with battery degradation
press F2 when u restart laptop …. to enter BIOS
look at screenshot for rest of the option ….. set custom values according to your need ( but don’t set custom charge stop at 100% )

{(Full Charge Capacity / Design Capacity) x 100} -100 = wear level of battery
= {(1,140 / 41,998) x 100} – 100
= {0.0271 x 100} – 100
= 2.71 – 100
= -97.29so here battery used it’s 97% of it’s Capacity out of 100% … sooΒ it’s new battery time
