i could indeed replace the 1000 with the 500, what am i loosing doing that though? as i know the 1000 has wifi 6 doesnt it, anything else?

has anyone bought one of these? i have! i spent 3 hours last night trying to get it working with the new draytek 166? including 2 support chats with netgear, they have said that the router doesnt support mer option for dhcp! thats the whole reason i bought this to get rid of my skyq hub, can anyone confirm if this is the case? as i thought Netgear was one of the brands that worked out of the box for mer option, devastated if it needs to go back already!

i have properly bit the bullet now, got the draytek 166 really cheap, and also ordered a Netgear RX1000, that Duma is too good looking to say no too! thanks for all your advice lads!

cheers ill post how i get on, out of interest, are the netgear ones with dedicated game settings that much better?, if so and im going to spend a fortune on one, what would be the best option for router? as the rubbish skyq hub wont utilise bridge mode?

can anyone recommend what to use on SkyQ? other option i was looking at was the Tp-LInk C2800?

i wouldnt say money is no object, but happy to spend enough to get a decent bit of kit?

OMG i literally just ordered the 88U like 10 mins ago and came across this! is it really that bad should i send it straight back? i want to replace my sky q hub (which is pony) and thought this would be the one! what are your thoughts on the 82U? as this is wifi 6 should i just be waiting for this?
